Quota seekers to block Shahbagh from 3pm to 10pm

Staff Correspondent: Protesters under the banner of 'Muktujuddho Moncho' has brought a change in their blockade programme.

From now the protesters will continue their blockade at Shahbagh intersection from 3:00pm to 10:00pm regularly. Besides, the demonstrators across the country will hold blockades on highways for an hour.

The leaders of the organization made the announcement on Sunday night.

Quota seekers started sit-in program from Wednesday. Later, freedom fighters and their descendants started to join the demonstration from 3:00pm on Sunday.

Spokesperson of the organization – Muktujuddho Moncho – DU Prof AKM Jamal Uddin said, "Cabinet meeting takes place on Monday. There are 12 ministers in the cabinet who joined the liberation war directly. We think that the cabinet will abolish the recently declared circulation showing respect to freedom, sovereignty and freedom fighters."

On the other hand, physically challenged students under the banner of 'Bangladesh Protibondhi Shikkharthi Oikya Parishad' staged demonstration demanding reinstatement of the quota system in government service.
