HC orders for registration to Trinamool BNP

Staff Correspondent: The High Court (HC) has ordered Election Commission (EC) to register Trinamool BNP of Barrister Nazmul Huda as a political party.

The bench of Justice Tariq ul Hakim and Justice Mohammad Suhrawardy on Sunday came up with the order, after declaring the rule issued in this regard appropriate.

Barrister Nazmul Huda himself moved in the court while deputy attorney general Amatul Karim represented the state.

Besides, former attorney general A F Hassan Arif, former additional attorney general M K Rahman and Shahdeen Malik participated in hearing as amicus curiae in line with order of the court.

Earlier on August 14, HC issued a rule asking the authorities concerned as to why Trinamool BNP should not granted registration as political party.
