Polls schedule to be announced Nov 8

Staff Correspondent: The Election Commission (EC) will announce the schedule for the 11th general election on November 8.

Election Commissioner Brig Gen (retd) Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury came up with the disclosure at a press conference at the commission secretariat on Sunday evening.

He said, “Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) will announce the schedule on November 8 through a speech for nation.”

Earlier in the day, the CEC held a meeting with commissioners at the commission office to fix the date to announce the schedule for the next parliamentary polls.
