‘Drug trader’ killed in Kushtia gunfight

Kushtia Correspondent: A suspected drug traders were killed in a gunfight between two groups of drug dealers in Chandgaon union of Bheramara upazila in Kushtia district early Monday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Bheramara police station Officer-in-Charge Khandakar Shamim said acting on information that two groups of drug traders locked into a gunfight over establishing supremacy, police rushed to the spot around 3:30am and found a bullet hit person.

Later, the injured was sent to Kushtia General Hospital where duty doctors declared him dead.

Yaba pills, Phensidyl and a pistol were recovered from the spot.
