Fire guts 7 houses in Gazipur

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: A fire has gutted at least seven houses in Kanjanol village of Mirzapur union of Sadar upazila of the district on Monday night.

Sources said the fire broke out around 11:00pm in the house of Mafiz Uddin. Meanwhile, locals tried to douse the blaze but failed. Later, on information two fire units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after one hour frantic efforts.

Jakir Hossain, senior station officer of Joydepur fire service said the fire gutted seven rooms and furniture of the house.
