Decision on polls deferral Monday: EC

Staff Correspondent: The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) has said that nearly all the parties are requesting to defer the parliamentary polls date. Decision will be taken whether it will be deferred.

In reply to a query, the CEC told this to the reporters while emerging from Nirbachan Bhaban on Sunday evening.

He said, “I’m not currently aware of that which party what writes. After checking all things tomorrow (Monday), decision will be taken whether the election would be deferred.”
