JP decides to join government

Senior Correspondent: Jatiya Party (JP) has decided to join the government of Awami League-led grand alliance.

The decision was taken in a parliamentary meeting chaired by the party’s senior co-chairman at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Thursday.

Syed Abu Hossain Babla, lawmaker of JP, said that we all- Awami League and Jatiya Party’s lawmakers- are MPs of the grand alliance. People also elected as candidates of the grand alliance. So, we all will remain in the government and work for people’s welfare.

He said, “We took decision in the meeting to be part of the government.”

However, all things will depend on PM’s decision, he added.
