Youth hacked dead over establishing supremacy

Staff Correspondent: A youth was stabbed to death by miscreants over establishing supremacy in the capital’s Mirpur area on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Roman, 32.

Confirming the incident, Dadon Fakir, officer-in-charge (OC) of Mirpur Police Station, said some four to five miscreants stopped Roman and stabbed him dead when he was walking along a kitchen market in Mirpur this noon. One Alamin was also beaten up as he came to save Roman.

Initially, it has been known that Roman and Alamin belong to same group and the attackers belong to other. The two groups were at loggerheads over establishing supremacy in the area, the OC added.
