No compromise with irregularities: CEC

Staff Correspondent: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda has said that no irregularity will be accepted in the upazilla elections.

The CEC said this while speaking at the inaugural session of a training programme organized for returning and assistant returning officers for the 5th upazila election at ETI Bhaban at Agargaon in the city on Wednesday.

The CEC said “If a returning officer thinks that there is no environment to hold elections, he or she can recommend to stop it. No irregularities in the elections can be compromised”.
