ACC files cases against 20 people over embezzling Tk 1700cr

Staff Correspondent: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed five cases against 20 people of Crescent Group and Rimex footwear over embezzling Tk 1745 crore.

Crescent Group Chairman MA Kader, his brother Rimex footwear Chairman M A Aziz, also owner of Jazz Multi-media, and Sonali Bank Deputy Managing Director (DMD) Zakir Hossain are among other accused.

The cases were filed with Chakbazar Police Station in the capital on Sunday.

ACC gave approval for the lawsuits in last week, he said.
