Mansur now Home Ministry Parliamentary Standing Committee member

Staff Correspondent: Sultan Mohammad Mansur, the lawmaker-elect from Gonoforum banner who was later expelled from the party for taking oath as MP, has become member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Home Affairs Ministry.

With Leader of the House Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's approval, Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury proposed for reformation of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Home Affairs Ministry in the parliament session on Sunday.

The Jatiya Sangsad unanimously adopted the proposal by voice votes.

Former State Minister for Home Shamsul Haque Tuku was made chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on Home Affairs. The other members of the committee are: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, lawmaker Afsarul Amin, former IGP and lawmaker from Kishoreganj Nur Mohammad, Bogura-5 lawmaker Habibar Rahman, Joypurhat-1 lawmaker Shamsul Alam Dulu, Jamalpur-2 MP Faridul Haque, lawmaker from Khagrachhari Kujendra Lal and Sunamganj-4 MP Pir Fazlur Rahman.
