Plastic excluded from purview of Task Force-Operation

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) mayor Sayed Khokon announced to keep the plastic and plastic substances out of the purview of Task Force-Operation.

The mayor came up with the declaration in an exchange meeting with local business association, arbitration, honourable personalities and gentlemen at the capital’s Chawkbazar area on Sunday.

The meeting was arranged by Bangladesh Plastic Association over solving issues created by the deadly fire at Churihatta on February 20 night, leaving dozens killed and some others burnt.

The mayor further said, “Plastic substances were announced as safe (non-risky) according to the report prepared by the Explosive Directorate. So, plastic and plastic substances were excluded from purview of the Task Force-Operation.”

Sayed Khokon also urged to keep fire-fighting machines, water and sand in the shops or showroom necessarily.
