Kuwait Maitree Hall election postponed

Staff Correspondent: Voting at Kuwait Maitree Hall centre of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) election has been postponed after evidence of rigging.

Voting at the girls’ hall was suspended around 9:30am after a stash of stamped ballots in favour of Bangladesh Chhatra League’s panel was found. Female students found the stash, in a sack, inside the reading room.

Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Abdus Samad confirmed the information.

He said, "The vote has been postponed due to students’ complaints."
