VP candidate Nur allegedly attacked

Staff Correspondent: Nurul Huq Nur, Vice Presidential (VP) candidate in the ongoing Dhaka Unviersity Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) polls, has allegedly been assaulted at the university campus.    

Quota reform activists complained that the leaders and activists of Chhatra Leader attacked him in front of the university 'Ruqayyah Hall' on Monday noon.

There was an allegation that three ballot boxes were filled previously in Rokeya Hall. Meanwhile, Nur and others went there. At one stage, the activists of Chhatra League attacked them reportedly. Later, Nur was rushed to hospital.

Earlier, the much-anticipated election to the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) and its hall unions began this morning.
