Six fake Customs officials sent to jail

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court has sent the six fake Customs officials to jail.

Metropolitan Magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mondal passed the order as they were produced before the court case after ending remand period on Saturday.

The accused are: Md Nurul Haque, 57, Md Sheikh Alam, 43, Md Firoz Alam, 57, Md Mosharraf Hosen, 54, Md Masud Rana, 43, and Md Renu Mia alias Roni, 38.

Earlier, the court placed them on a day-remand on April 4.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested them from the capital’s Mirpur area on the night of April 2.
