Fireman Sohel Rana’s body to reach Dhaka tonight

Staff Correspondent: Body of fireman Sohel Rana, who died while undergoing treatement at Singapore General Hospital, will reach Dhaka on Monday (today) night.

The body will land down at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 10:40pm.

Major AKM Shakil Newaz, Director (operations and maintenance) of Fire Service, confirmed the news.

Sohel Rana sustained serious injuries while doing rescue operation in the devastating fire at FR Tower in the capital’s Banani on March 28, that claimed the lives of 26 people and left many others injured.

Firstly, he was rushed to Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka. Later, he was sent to Singapore for advanced treatment.

There, he breathed his last early Monday.

Unmarried Sohel Rana, 34, was the son of Noor Islam, a farmer, of Itna upazila in Kishoreganj.
