5th phase Upazila Parishad polls to begin on June 18

Staff Correspondent: The fifth phase Upazila Parishad elections will kick-off on June 18, with balloting in 16 upazilas.

The election commission (EC) has announced the polls schedule on Thursday. The aspirants will be able to submit their nominations on May 21. The deadline to withdraw nominations is May 30 after scrutiny on May 23. The voting day is June 18.

The upazilas are- Nakla of Sherpur, Naldanga of Natore, Kamarkhanda of Sirajganj, Sundarganj of Gaibandha, Rangabali of Patuakhali, Taltoli of Barguna, Sadar upazila of Gazipur, Narayanganj Sadar, Madaripur Sadar, Kalukhali of Razbari, Shayesthaganj of Habiganj, Bancharampur and Bijoynagar of Brahmanbaria, Adarsha Sadar upazila and Sadar Daksin and Noakhali Sadar.
