DU student dies after falling off coconut tree

Staff Correspondent:  A Dhaka University (DU) student died after he fell off a coconut tree at its Jagannath Hall on Thursday night.

The deceased was identified as Barun, a second-year student of Applied Mathematics department.

DU Proctor AKM Golam Rabbani said Barun along with some of his friends went to pluck coconuts from the tree in front of the hall at night and suddenly fell from it.

His friends took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
