3 of a family found dead

Senior Correspondent: The bodies of a mother and her one son and one daughter were recovered from a one-storey house in the capital’s Uttarkhan Sunday night.

The victims are Jahanara Begum Mukta, 44, her son Kazi Mohit Hasan , 28, and her daughter Tasfia Sultana , 22.

Uttarkhan Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Helal Uddin said neighbours informed police of a foul odour coming from the house the victims had rented and had found its door locked from inside.

Police then reached the spot and broke down the door.
