College girl killed in clash between 2 auto-rickshaws

Staff Correspondent, Tangail: A female college student was killed in collision between two auto-rickshaws at Atia shrine intersection under Delduar upazila in Tangail on Monday noon.
The deceased was identified as Shamima Akter Bithi, 18, daughter of Shawkat Mollik of Jhunkai village under Deuli union parishad.
Monoar Hossain, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Delduar Police Station, confirmed the news.
He said, two opposite head auto-rickshaws collided at Atia shrine intersection, leaving Shamima dead on the spot and two others injured.
The injured were sent to Tangail General Hospital, he added.
Police seized the two auto-rickshaws. However, drivers of the both auto-rickshaws managed to flee the scene, he said.
