3 'muggers' held with firearm in Chattogram

Staff Correspondent: Police arrested three alleged muggers with firearms in their possession after a gunfight West Khulshi Jalalabad in Chattogram metropolitan on Saturday morning.

The arrestees are -Rubel, 22, Shanto, 17 and Jahid, 18.

Khulshi police station Officer-in-Charge Pranab Chowdhury said, acting on secret information that muggers took position in the area with fire arms, police conducted a drive. Meanwhile, the muggers opened fire aiming police. In reply, police also opened fire.

Later, a bullet inured and two others muggers were arrested from the spot.

A local made gun, two rounds of bullets and two knifes were also recovered.
