Tense situation prevails at Uttar Badda

Staff Correspondent: A tense situation has been prevailing in capital’s Uttar Badda area as rickshaw-pullers and owners took a confronting position following a directive on Tuesday.

Rickshaw-pullers took positions at several points including Uttar Badda in the capital from 8.00am. They blockaded the roads, halting traffic movements in the area. As a result, commuters were facing untold sufferings due to lack of public transports.

At noon, rickshaw-owners called upon the pullers to free roads which became rickshaw-pullers angry.

Traffic movement in different parts of the capital came to a halt on Tuesday as rickshaw-pullers continued their demonstrations for the second consecutive day blocking roads demanding withdrawal of rickshaw ban.
