Public sufferings for road block, rain

Staff Correspondent: Commuters in the city faced untold sufferings due to a blocked programme by rickshaw-pullers and heavy rain on Tuesday.

Rickshaw-pullers took positions at several points including Rampura, Malibagh and Khilgaon in the capital from the morning to protest ban on rickshaws. 

They blockaded roads, halting traffic movements in the areas. As a result, commuters faced untold sufferings due to lack of public transports.

There are no CNGs or other public transports available due to the tailback in different places. Commuters are forced to pay double for available transports like bike sharing rides or they are walking to their destinations.

In addition to, it has been raining from Tuesday noon, increasing public sufferings several folds.
