Sale of advance train tickets July 29

Secretariat Correspondent: Bangladesh Railway authorities will begin selling advance train tickets from July 29 to ensure hassle-free journey for Eid-ul-Azha holidaymakers.

This was revealed at a meeting held at Railway Bhaban on Wednesday ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha festival.  

The sale will continue till August 2 at Dhaka’s Kamalapur and Chittagong railway stations. Each person will be able to buy a maximum of four tickets.

Advance tickets will be sold at five different spots other than Kamalapur Station.

A total eight special trains will run centering the Eid journey. They are- Dewanganj Eid Special (1 pair): Dhaka-Dewanganj-Dhaka, Chandpur Eid Special (2 pair): Chattogram-Chandpur-Chattogra, Khulna Eid Special: Khulna-Dhaka-Khulna, Ishwardi Eid Special: Dhaka-Ishwardi-Dhaka, Lalmoni Eid Special: Lalmonirhat-Dhaka-Lalmonirhat, Sholakia Special-1: Bhairab Bazar-Kishoreganj-Bhairab Bazar, Sholakia Special-2: Mymensingh-Kishireganj-Mymensingh.
