Fifth grader raped in Lakshmipur, 1 held

Lakshmipur Correspondent: Police arrested a youth on charge of raping a fifth-grader school girl in Ramganj upazila of Lakshmipur on Friday night.

The detainee is identified as Shohrab Hossain, son of Imam Hossain.

Victim’s mother said, Shohrab raped the school girl when she went to an adjacent fishing farm around 5:30am on Thursday.

Later, father of the victim filed a complaint and Sub-inspector Kausaruzzaman of Ramganj police station arrested the rapist from Noapara Bazar area on Friday evening.

Confirming the matter, Ramganj police station OC Anwar Hossain told risingbd that a case was filed under women and children reparation act in this regard.
