Inform me if extortion noticed in transport: Home Minister

Senior Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that police help transport sector through coordination. Even then, actions must be taken after investigation if someone claims extortion from transport.

The Minister said this after attending a programme in the capital on Saturday noon.

He further said, “Police are working in sun and rain to bring discipline across the country. They are always alert so that people are harassed for nothing. Despite of the efforts, allegations raised that cops collect extortion on roads.”

“I assure you, inform me if any police man collects extortion.  We will take actions after investigation. Nobody will be spared,” he added.
