Rifat murder: Father-in-law demands Minni's arrest

Barguna Correspondent: Dulal Sharif, father of slain Barguna youth Rifat Sharif, has demanded the police arrest his daughter-in-law Minni to investigate whether she had involved with the killing.

Rifat Sharif’s father made the demand at a press conference at Barguna District Press Club on Saturday evening.

In the written speech, Dulal Sharif claimed that the movements of daughter-in-law Minni in CCTV footage was suspicious.

Noyon Bond and his mother Sahida Begum met Minni at Noyon’s house just before a day of the murder, Dulal Sharif said.  

On 26 June, Rifat Sharif, was hacked to death by a group of youths in broad daylight in Barguna district town. Minni is the main witness in the case. Police arrested a total of 14 persons over the case.
