Minni to be quizzed

Senior Correspondent: Police will interrogate Aysha Siddika Minni, wife of slain Rifat Sharif over the gruesome murder of her husband in broad day light in Barguna.

Barguna police super (SP) Maruf Hossain told risingbd that anyone involved in the murder will be brought under trial. Several people are involved with the killing. Nothing more can be said now as investigation is underway in this regard.

Replying to question, the SP said, Minni will be quizzed for the sake of investigation.

Barguna police sources said that video footage of the killing incident was collected. In the video, Minni was seen walking normally behind Rifat Sharif. She did not come forward to save her husband from the killers before the attack. She tried to stop the killers when the attackers started hacking. Even, an attacker was seen giving her handbag to her after the killing mission. Meanwhile, Minni was totally unhurt mysteriously.   

Rifat’s father complained that Minni hid marrying Nayan Bond. She married Rifat without parting away from Nayan.

In a press conference, Rifat’s father said, “Minni used to go college alone. She phoned Rifat on that day. Minni kept a close contact with Nayan even after marrying Rifat.”

On the other hand, on Sunday, Minni also addressed a press conference. She said that an influential group forced her father-in-law to said so.
