Selling of cattle at 24 city markets starts

Staff Correspondent: Sales of sacrificial animals has been started in 24 cattle markets in the capital ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

The selling started on Wednesday and will continue till the Eid day in two city corporations.

Thinking the traffic jam issue, the locations of cattle markets were fixed, said Dhaka South City Corporation authority.

Dhaka Metropolitan DB police, Armed Police Battalion APBn and RAB personnel were deployed to ensure securities in cattle markets. Police control room and CCTV cameras were set up according to the plan of DMP.

A total of 23 temporary and a permanent cattle markers have been set up in two city corporations. Of them, 10 were located at Dhaka North City Corporation and 14 at Dhaka South City Corporation.
