Staff Correspondent: The government will file a regular petition against the bail order granted to Ayesha Siddika Minni by the High Court (HC) in the sensational murder case of Rifat Sharif.
Deputy Attorney General Zahid Sarwar Kajal made the disclosure on Monday.
He said, “We had filed a petition with the chamber court as the verdict of Minni’s bail was not in our hand. But, the chamber court passed a no order. However, we have decided to file a regular petition as already the bail verdict has been published. We have submitted a note to the attorney general in this regard.”
Earlier, the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court (SC) upheld the Ayesha Siddika Minni’s bail granted by the High Court (HC) in her husband Rifat Sharif murder case. Chamber Judge of the Appellate Division Justice Hasan Foyez Siddique passed the order.
Following the order, there is no legal bar for Minni to get released from the jail.
