GPA-5 to be replaced by GPA-4 in public exams

Senior Correspondent: The government has taken a decision to bring changes to the grading system for all public exams in school and college level in the country.
In case of results, the GPA-5 will be replaced by GPA-4.
The new grading system will be put into effect from JSC-JDC examinations scheduled to be held in November this year.
The new GPA system will be implemented in coordination with university grading system. There will also be a coordination with international system.
The decision was taken in a meeting with Education Ministry Dr Dipu Moni in chair on Sunday.
The Education Ministry arranged the meeting at International Mother Language Institute.
Dhaka University Teacher Professor Shahadat Hossain presented the new grading system in the meeting. Later, the draft was approved by consent of all.
However, it was revealed that two meetings will be held in this regard.
According to the new grading system, numbers will be counted as 90-100 for grade A+ while 80-89 for A, 70-79 for B+, 60-69 for B, 50-59 for C+, 40-49 for C, 33-39 for D and 0-32 for F grade.
