Niloy murder: Probe report submission on Oct 13

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court deferred the date to October 13 for submission of the investigation report in a case filed over the murder of blogger Niladri Chattopadhyay Niloy.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ashek Imam set the new date as the investigation officer in the case failed to submit the report before the court today.

Mentionable, the investigation officer earlier took time in several phases for submitting the report in the case.

Earlier on August 7, 2016, blogger Niloy was hacked to death by a group of assailants at his rented flat on the 4th floor of a multi-storey building at Goran in the capital.

Later, victim’s wife Ashamoni filed the murder case with Khilgaon police station against four unidentified miscreants.
