5 members of teen-gang put on remand

Staff Correspondent: A court in Dhaka has placed five members of teen-gang on a three-day remand each over the murder of ‘Film Jhir jhir’ leader Mohsin Ali in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur area.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Mainul Hossain passed the order after hearing on Monday.

The accused are- Mizanur Rahman, 16, Mamin Shikdar, 17, Abdul Malek alias Munna, 16, Manir Hossain, 16 and Jahidul Islam, 18.

Earlier, Sub-inspector Faruk Hossain, Investigation Officer (IO) in the case produced the accused before the court seeking five days remand each.

According to the case statement, the accused killed Mohsin in broad day light.  Meanwhile, Mohsin’s friends Sabbir, Rubel and Rakib tried to save him from the attackers but, the attackers also attack them and left them injured.
