Minister refrigerator factory catches fire

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: A devastating fire broke out at a Minister-brand refrigerator factory of MyOne Group at Dheerashrom in Gazipur city on Friday morning.

The fire originated around 7.30am on a floor and rapidly reached the store room located on the sixth floor of the factory building.

15 units of fire fighters are working to extinguish the blaze, fire fighters said.

Senior Station Officer of Tongi Fire Service Md Atiqur said 15 units from Joydebpur, Sreepur, Kaliakoir, Tongi and Uttara fire service stations went to the spot and are trying to douse the fire.

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately, Atiqul said.
