Two students drown in Aftabnagar Lake

The bodies of two missing students were recovered from Aftabnagar Lake in the capital on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Shakib and Sami. They were students of class nine in a local school.

Badda police station Officer-in-Charge Rafikul Islam said, a boat carrying seven school boys drowned in the lake around 2:00pm. Meanwhile, five boys managed to swim ashore but two went missing.

Later, fire service divers recovered the bodies around 5:30pm.
