Several cases being filed against Samrat

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) is taking preparations to file several cases against Dhaka South unit President of Juba League Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat.

Senior Director of RAB’s media and legal wing Mizanur Rahman said this to risingbd on Sunday noon.

A team of RAB members arrested Samrat and one of his close aides Enamul Haq Arman from the border area in Cumilla early Sunday.

Samrat and some other Juba League leaders went into hiding amid allegations of running illegal casinos in the capital.

It came after RAB busted casino operations in raids on Young Men's Club, Wanderers Club and Muktijoddha Krira Chakra Club in Motijheel area on September 18.

It has been alleged that Samrat used to run  the casino operations inside Muktijoddha Krira Chakra Club. According to reports in the media, Samrat also used to take a share of the money from the other casinos in Motijheel area.
