Youth stabs elder brother to death

A youth was stabbed to death by his younger brother near Demra Golakata Bridge area in the capital on Tuesday night.

The deceased was known as Kabir Hossain, 25. He is son of Ataur Rahman and used to drive rickshaw.

The killer is deceased younger brother Sabuj, 18.

Killer’s wife Sumaiya said they two brothers one another locked into altercation over money. At one stage, Sabuj stabbed Kabir indiscriminately. Being informed by locals, we rushed to the spot and took Kabir to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in critical state. There, he succumbed to his injuries around 1:00am.

DMCH Police Outpost Sub-Inspector (SI) Bachch Mia confirmed the news of death.

He said many stabbing marks were found on whole body of Kabir. The body has been kept at the hospital morgue and will be handed over to family after autopsy.
