Prothom Alo editor sued

Editor of the daily Prothom Alo Matiur Rahman was sued in a case filed over the death of Dhaka Residential Model College student Nayeemul Abrar Rahat.

Mujibur Rahman, father of the student filed the case with the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Aminul Haque bringing allegation of negligence leading to death of his son.

Judge Aminul Haque recorded the deposition of Mujibur Rahman on Wednesday and decided to pass order later.

On Friday (Friday) Rahat, a ninth-grade student of Dhaka Residential Model School and College (RMSC), was electrocuted at an event of Kishor Alo, youth magazine of Prothom Alo.
