Tureen Afroz found guilty: Law Minister

Law Minister Anisul Huq said Tureen Afroz, who was removed from the post of International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) prosecutor, has been found guilty in breaching discipline and professional misconduct.
The Minister told this to the reporters at his own office in the Secretariat on Monday noon.
He said, “Allegations brought against her (Tureen) have been proved with base on documents and evidences. The audio clip she talked with convict reached at our hands. The government has taken the decision of her removal after her voice was found real.”
The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs removed Tureen Afroz from prosecution team of ICT on Monday.
Solicitor Wing under the Law and Justice Division of the Ministry issued a notice in this regard.
It said the order will be effective from Monday, November 11.
Tureen Afroz was appointed to the International Crimes Tribunal as a prosecutor in February 2013.
She was relieved of all activities of the tribunal for professional misconduct and breaching discipline and code of conduct on May 9 last year.
