Government takes tough stance against corruption: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, the government has taken tough stance against all kinds of criminals including corruption.

Sheikh Hasina said this while replying to a question of Awami League lawmaker Mir Mostaque Ahmed Robi (Satkhira-2) at the National Parliament on Wednesday.

She said, “The incumbent government is working relentlessly to continue the pace of development ensuring rule of law in the country. Laws are being strictly enforced against all the criminals irrespective of their political identity and views.”

The premier also said that drive of law enforcers is underway against criminal across the country. Various types of person who involved with corruption and illegal earning have been brought under trial on the basis of specific information. Cases have been filed against them on money laundering act 2012 and other applicable acts.
