Nominations of all DSCC mayoral candidates declared legal

The returning officer (RO) of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has declared legal the nomination papers of all seven mayoral candidates.

DSCC RO Abdul Baten came up with the announcement on Thursday.

The seven candidates are AL’s Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, BNP’s Ishraque Hossain, Jatiya Party’s Mohammad Saifuddin Ahmed Milon, Journalist Md Akhtaruzzaman of Bangladesh Congress, Bahrane Sultan Bahar of National People’s Party, Abdus Samad of Ganofront, Islami Andolan Bangladesh candidate Abdur Rahman.

According to schedule announced by the Election Commission (EC), the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) mayoral polls are scheduled to be held on January 30.
