10-day remand plea for Majnu

Majnu, who was arrested over the rape incident of Dhaka University (DU) student, has been taken to a Dhaka court.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarafuzzaman Ansari will hear a 10-day remand plea for him on Thursday noon.

Inspector of DB Police Abu Siddique has sought a 10-day remand for Majnu.
The victim’s father filed a case with Cantonment Thana on January 6 under Women and Children Repression Act. 

Majnu on Tuesday night was arrested from Shewra railway crossing area of the capital.

A second-year student of Dhaka University was allegedly raped and tortured in the capital’s Kurmitola area on Sunday night.
