DU student dies of heart attack

A residential student at Dhaka University (DU) died of heart attack on Friday.

The deceased was known as Saikat Mahmud, a student of Accounting and Information System department. He was a resident student of Bijoy Ekattor Hall.

Sources said, his Namaz-e-Janaza was held around 3:30pm at Kabi Jasimuddin Hall field. Later, the body was taken to his village, Saikat’s eleder brother Sohel confirmed.

Saikat suffered from chest pain this morning. His fellow roommates took him to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) around 11:00am, where he died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
