14 gold bars seized at Dhaka airport

Customs Intelligence officials at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport seized 14 gold bars weighing 1.624 kg from an aircraft sweeper on Tuesday.

Sources said, officials of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) challenged the sweeper named Abu Saleh Musa at Airport Hanger Gate this morning. Later, searching his body, the customs intelligence officials recovered 14 gold bars concealed in his legs.

Dhaka Customs House Deputy Commissioner Md Solaiman Hossain confirmed the matter.
