No Mujib Year guest yet cancels visit due to coronavirus

Foreign Minister A K Abdul Momen said though coronavirus spreads panic across the world, no guest of Mujib Year has yet cancelled due to the deadly virus.

The Minister came up with the disclosure to the reporters at Sylhet Osmani International Airport on Saturday.

The ruling Awami League (AL) is set to celebrate inauguration programme of Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheik Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary on March 17.

Many of foreign guests have been invited to the programme.

When asked about whether there is any impact of coronavirus on Mujib Year programme, he replied, “Of course, there will be an impact on the programme as whole world is panicked with the virus. But the government is much aware of the issue.”
