Massive infections couldn’t occur due to timely steps: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said massive infections of coronavirus or COVID-19 could not take place in Bangladesh due to the timely and proper measures adopted by the government.

She claimed that the situation remains under control due to the time-befitting steps taken by the government.

The prime minister came up with the claims while addressing a press conference at her official residence Gono Bhaban on Sunday (April 5) morning.

"It is a matter of hope that those infected with the coronavirus are getting recovered and that's why there is nothing to be panicked," she said.

The premier said that the infected people can get early recovery if they are conscious about it and follow the health tips issued by the government.
