Muslim devotees asked to say prayers at homes

In an effort to contain the spread of coronavirus or COVID-19 in the country, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has instructed the Muslim devotees to say prayers at their respective homes.
An emergency circular, signed by Sakhawat Hossain, deputy secretary to the ministry, came up with the information on Monday (April 6).
In order to help contain the infections of coronavirus, no one except Khateeb, Imam, Muazzin and Khadem is allowed to go to mosques to offer prayers, the circular read.
In the circular, Muslim devotees have been requested to offer Zuhr prayers in their homes in stead of attending Jumma prayers in the mosques.
