Benazir made new IGP, Abdullah Al-Mamun RAB DG

The government has appointed Benazir Ahmed as the new inspector general of police (IGP) and Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun as the new director general (DG) of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).
The Home Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday (April 8).
Benazir Ahmed will replace incumbent IGP Dr M Javed Patwary and Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun will replace incumbent RAB DG Benazir Ahmed.
Earlier, Benazir Ahmed was the director general of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun was the additional inspector general of Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Their appointment will come into effect on April 15 as per the notification.
