Three newly elected MPs take oath

Three newly elected members of the parliament, who won the by-elections in Dhaka, Gaibandha and Bagherhat, have taken oath of office.

The lawmakers are: Md Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin of Dhaka-10, Advocate Umme Kulsum Smriti of Gaibandha-3 and Advocate Amirul Alam Milon of Bagherhat-4.

Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury swore in the lawmakers at 3:30pm on Saturday.

The voting in by-polls of the three constituencies was held on March 21.
