Factories to be opened gradually: Health Minister

Health Minister Zahid Maleque has said factories of readymade garment and other industries will be opened in phases (gradually).

The Minister said this at the Secretariat on Sunday noon.

Earlier, an inter-ministerial meeting was held at the secretariat over opening different mills and factories on limited scale amid coronavirus pandemic with Health and Family Planning Minister Zahid Maleque in the chair.

Zahid Maleque said, “Overall situation and health regulatory of the workers will be observed.”

Decision for arrangement of transports, food and stay and health checkup for workers has been taken in the meeting.

Industries Secretary, Labour and Employment Secretary, Senior Secretary for the Public Security Division, Inspector General of Police (IGP), FBCCI President, BGMEA President, DCCI President, BKMEA President, BTMEA President and officials concern attended the meeting.
